Welshampton and Lyneal Parish Council Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on Wednesday 10 April 2019, at Welshampton Parish Hall, starting at 7pm Present: Chair: Welshampton and Lyneal Parish Council Chair, Andrew Haydon Clerk: Carole Warner Residents: 7 In attendance: Mr George Rook APM 01/19 Welcome by the Chair The Chair, Cllr Andrew Haydon, welcomed everyone to the meeting. APM 02/19 Minutes of Meeting held on 11 April 2018 The minutes of the meeting were approved and signed. APM 03/19 Annual Report of the Parish Council The Chair, Cllr Hayden presented the Parish Council’s report which would be included in the next newsletter. APM 04/19 Presentation on Shropshire Telford & Wrekin Dementia Action Alliance Mr George Rook, Chair of the ST&W DAA, explained the background to the Alliance and that there were 70 plus members. He outlined that many towns and villages had recognised that people who have dementia can feel isolated and lack confidence. Steering groups of local residents and organisation had been set up to work towards making their communities Dementia Friendly. Mr Rook explained how individual could make differences in their behaviour to make people with dementia feel more secure when outside their homes. Those present thanked Mr Rook for this work and had found the presentation most enlightening. APM 05/19 Parish Debate. No questions were raised .
