CARBON FOOTPRINT & TRANSPORTATION Report for Office of Sustainability Office of Strategy Management & Spring 2019 The American University in Cairo Institutional Effectiveness INTRODUCTION To complement the work of The Office of Sustainability on its biennial publication of AUC’s carbon footprint, this poll was designed to capture transportation trends and carpooling interest within the community. METHODOLOGY This poll was designed and conducted by the Office of Strategy Management and Institutional Effectiveness in collaboration with the Office of Sustainability. Invitations were sent on March 26, 2019, and remained open for one week. One reminder was sent on the 2nd of April before close date on the 3rd yielding a total response rate of 6%. Findings from this achieved sample size can be applicable to the total intended population with a ±5% margin of error at a 95% confidence level.. Responses for the carpooling section, however, are too low and cannot be applied to the population.
