Message Welcome to the 64th sailing season at Lindisfarne Sailing Club. During the past 64 years and into the future LSC will strive to provide a fun, safe and community centred facility. Since its’ inception LSC has provided a place where people from all walks of life can enjoy “just messing about in boats”. It doesn’t matter if you have the latest and greatest boat or a classic sailing dinghy sailed on a budget, what matters is that you are having fun in a safe and sporting manner. I believe sailing is more than a sport, it’s a lifestyle that can provide a life full of enjoyment and challenges. Whichever way you spend your time on the water enjoy it to the fullest and safely. LSC is very fortunate to have a picturesque sheltered bay to enjoy, combined with a racing area that provides many sailing challenges. LSC has a rich history and tradition of family friendly boating and on shore participation within a relaxed, fun, friendly and community atmosphere. LSC relies heavily on our volunteer helpers. If getting on the water is not for youor you don’t have a boat, LSC is always seeking helpers in mark boats, timekeepers, canteen helpers, BBQ cooks, shore control officers etc. There is much satisfaction in helping out! To all our volunteers thank you in advance for the effort in the upcoming season. This year to build upon, consolidate and formalise our history and tradition, we have adopted a motto for our Club. THINK, ACT, SAIL. THINK before you speak and do. ACT in a respectful, responsible and considerate manner. SAIL in the spirit of healthy competition, participation and fun I encourage you to read this book thoroughly, particularly the Codes of Behaviour. Whichever way you spend your time at LSC, enjoy it to the fullest, now and into the future. Enjoy LSC!
