Whereas, On February 7, 2010, the New Orleans Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts by a 31-17 thrilling victory at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida; Whereas, Drew Brees, a Purdue University graduate and fearless quarterback, led the New Orleans Saints to victory; Whereas, The New Orleans Saints gave their city, and its far-flung WHO DAT NATION, the greatest moment in their long history; Whereas, To earn the trophy, the Saints had to navigate their way through three potential Hall of Fame quarterbacks in Arizona's Kurt Warner, Minnesota's Brett Favre and Indianapolis' Peyton Manning; Whereas, There is a psychic connection between residents who chose to return and rebuild (when they could have settled 2010 DR 3813/DI fq+ 2 down elsewhere), and the journeyman players who signed on as free agents when Sean Payton took over as coach, trying to restart their careers: Therefore, Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana: 1 SECTION 1.
