ORBIS AVIA SM-92T(E) Praga The SM-92T(E) Praga is a single-engine high wing all-metal turboprop aircraft with fixed landing gear complying with EASA CS- 23 and FAA FAR 23 requirements. The SM-92T(E) Praga with unpressurized cabin can accommodate up to 7 people including a minimum crew of one. The plane is powered by GE M601 F (with an alternative GE H80/PWC PT-6) turboprop engine with three blade all-metal tractor type propeller AV-803. The aircraft´s conceptual design satisfies requirements for easy operation and maintenance, including operation in difficult climatic conditions of the Arctic Circle and desert areas. The airplane is able to operate anywhere where the ground has sufficient bearing capacity and therefore does not require approved airports for its operation. The aircraft also does not require hangar services. Specially designed high-quality aerodynamic wing profile allows the aircraft to operate within huge range of speed. Adequa- tely large control surfaces allow operation within huge range of values, all that resulting in a positive assessment of the plane´s user-friendliness and safety. The advanced avionics technology provides a more reliable system with greater dispatch reliability and ensures simplicity and safety to the cockpit. The aircraft is equipped by Garmin two-display system with 10 inch flat-panel LCDs interchangeable for use as either a primary flight display (PFD) or multi-function display (MFD) as standard flight deck. Since 2008, several SM-92T aircraft have been produced in the Smolensk Aircraft Plant (SMAZ) serial production plant and are still in operation. In 2015, the Orbis Avia company together with partners launched EASA validation of the MAK Type Certificate under EASA/CS-23 and then consequently under FAA/FAR-23. Currently, Orbis Avia is the holder of EASA SM-92T(E) Praga Type Certificate as well as approvals EASA DOA (Design Organisation Approval) and POA (Production Organisation Approval.) The SM-92T aircraft is being produced by Orbis Avia at it´s Production and Maintenance Center at the Hradec Králové Airport, Czech Republic.
