On one side a suite in three parts, ‘The Fountains of Witley Court’, written and recorded by the late Ian Pearce (AM) - a stalwart of Australian jazz for half a century. The other, also a suite in three parts, the ‘Clarence Jazz Suite’ written and recorded by Kelly Ottaway the festival’s Artist in Residence for 2016. Tom Samek has been commissioned to create a special artwork for the sleeve (pictured). As part of its commitment it invites three young artists to participate in a scholarship program which provides six months of private lessons from acclaimed jazz practitioners. This culminates in a performance for opening night at the Bellerive Boardwalk (Day 7) with former recipients and our Ambassadors.
