Books India: The emerging Giant (2008, New York: OUP) and Why Growth Matters (2013 New York: Public Affairs), with Jagdish Bhagwati, have been widely read around the world and highly influential in India. I have also launched, with Jagdish Bhagwati, the book series Studies in Indian Economic Policies published by the OUP, New York. Three volumes in the series have been published. 18. Lectures and Briefings: On my frequent visits to India, I have given public lectures in the major cities including New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Jaipur. Often these lectures have led to newspaper stories in the national and local press. I was also the only professional economist to be invited to the prestigious Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2013 (6-7 December 2013) and India Today Conclave 2014 (7-8 March 2014). 19.
