(March 19, 2021) – Brightline will continue signal work on the corridor from West Palm Beach to Miami, with upcoming work taking place beginning Sunday, March 21 in Broward County between Sunrise Blvd. in Ft. Lauderdale and Stirling Rd. in Dania. Flaggers will be present at crossings listed below in Ft. Lauderdale and Dania. Trains will be operating and train horns will sound during the day, overnight and in quiet zones. Flaggers will be present at crossings listed below in Hallandale, Hollywood and Dania. Drivers and pedestrians remain alert and aware when near railroad tracks and only cross the tracks at a railroad crossing. Signal work, which will be carried out in phases throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties, is expected to be completed by summer 2021. The testing will support future positive train control (PTC) implementation.
