PRODUCT INFORMATION Product Overview Mouse anti-bacteria flavobacterium psychrophilum monoclonal antibody. Flavobacterium Psychrophilum IgG fraction obtained by immunizing mice with six Chilean isolates of Flavobacterium psychrophilum (whole bacterial cells). The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose. Antigen Description F. psychrophilum is a Gram-negative, slender rod-shaped bacterium with rounded ends that are motile by gliding. It is widespread woldwide and is the causative agent of bacterial cold water disease (CWD) which cause high mortality in salmonid and non-salmonid species. BACKGROUND Introduction Flavobacterium is a genus of Gram-negative, non-motile and motile, rod-shaped bacteria that consists of ten recognized species, as well as three newly proposed species (F. gondwanense, F. salegens, and F. scophthalmum). Flavobacteria are found in soil and fresh water in a variety of environments. Several species are known to cause disease in freshwater fish.
