OWFL NEWSLETTER Volume 3, Issue 1 – February 2014 ONTARIO WOMEN’S FIELD LACROSSE MESSAGE from the OWFL COMMISSIONER 2014 SUMMER FIELD LOCATIONS n behalf of the league, I would like to welcome you Oto another great season of lacrosse. Last summer was WEEKEND LOCATION packed full of competitive games, culminating in more May 3 - 4 (TBC) Pre Season Charity Weekend provincial champions that we have ever had before, and May 10 - 11 Toronto this coming year promises to be equally exciting. May 17 - 18 NO GAMES Ontario athletes brought home silver medals from the May 24 - 25 Halton Hills World Cup in Oshawa and this year will be the start of a journey for some of our Ontario players towards rep- May 31 - June 1 Six Nations resenting Canada at the 2015 U19 World Championships June 7 - 8 Brampton in Edinburgh, Scotland. June 14 - 15 Oshawa Game dates and locations have been set, so clubs and June 21 - 22 Orangeville teams can begin planning for the year ahead. The season June 28 - 29 NO GAMES will culminate in three championship weekends, starting July 5 - 6 Owen Sound with the Senior and U13 Leagues from July 25-27, followed July 12 - 13 Kitchener-Waterloo by U11, U15, U17 and U19 B/C Leagues on August 1-3 and July 19 - 21 Kawartha ending with the Summer Games in Windsor for the U19A July 25 - 27 Senior & U13 Provincials – Orillia division on August 7-10. Aug. 1 - 3 U11, U15, U17 & U19 The OWFL is leading the way in Ontario Lacrosse as Provincials – Brampton the first league to use online registration for all members.
