Blue Distinction® Center for Spine Surgery recognize facilities that perform spine surgery – safely, effectively, and cost- efficiently. To keep pace with the changing market designations for the Spine Surgery program will now be available to both hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers (ASC). Blue Distinction Centers The Blue Distinction Center program was developed with input from the medical community and evaluates providers on their ability to deliver high quality and safe specialty care based on criteria that directly impact patient results – e.g., surgical team expertise and a history of better outcomes for patients. Blue Distinction Centers+ Blue Distinction Centers+ not only meet the same quality criteria as Blue Distinction Centers, but they also go a step further. Providers receiving a Blue Distinction Center+ designation are also measured on how efficiently they deliver this high-quality patient care.
