This current issue has been devoted to the politics of recognition and social theory, and has been intended to cover a wide variety of interdisciplinary studies from multiple fields that fall within the scope of the Journal. Nancy Fraser uses the term “recognition-theoretical turn” to describe a tendency to tackle many pressing real-life issues such as discrimination, exclusion, social justice, political equality, gender equality.
