Vol. III Issue No. 1 Beth’s Newfangled Family Tree Section A June 2010 We lose a beloved part of our “family” Dr. John Beegle Dr. John Beegle of Cullowhee, NC died on May 6, 2010. Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just a short time ago, Dr. Beegle fell and injured his hip and knee and was also hospitalized with a blood clot in his leg. He suffered from diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis. Born in 1934 in St. Petersburg, Florida, Dr. Beegle for many, many years was instrumental in the success of the camping area at the Grandfather Moun- tain Highland Games. He was beloved to many friends throughout the Scottish community.
