Tunxis Community College Transfer Student Outcomes Data Source: NSC In March 2020, student names of 6 cohorts between Fall 2013 and Fall 2019 semesters were sent to National Student Clearinghouse (NSC). A study was conducted to analyze transfer patterns for cohorts 2013 to 2017 within 3 years, and for cohort 2013 to 2015 for transfer patterns within 5 years of attending Tunxis. • 38% of TXCC students transferred to a 2-year or a 4-year institution within 3 years, with 27% landing at 4-year institutions. • For those data available up to 5 years, 48% of TXCC students transferred to a 2-year or a 4-year institution within 5 years, with 36% landing at 4-year institutions. • 78% of TXCC students that transferred to 2-year institutions landed at one of the following five community colleges: Manchester Community College, Capital Community College, Naugatuck Valley Community College, Middlesex Community College, and Northwestern CT Community College • 65% of TXCC students that transferred to 4-year institutions landed at one of the following five colleges and universities: Central Connecticut State University, UConn, Goodwin University, Charter Oak State College, and University of St. Joseph Next step is to look into transfer patterns by Tunxis academic programs for those students with a transfer record.
