metadata fields stored by EIDR for various types of audiovisual assets. The manual is based on the EIDR XML Schema. All EIDR schemas are available at http://www.eidr.org/schema/1.0/. The eidr-base.xsd file is the starting point for other useful information about working with records. The reader is assumed to be familiar with the EIDR Technical Overview, especially Section 3, “Data Model” and with the EIDR Registry
