FLOOR 1 1 of 12 Overall Description Broadway Residence Hall contains student housing, classrooms, labs, and first floor retail. The building forms an “L” occupying the southeast, southwest, and northwest quadrants of the 193 block of Portland downtown. Retail can be found on the west and south sides on the first floor of the building. These public retail businesses may be accessed directly from the Jackson Street and Broadway sidewalks. The second floor classrooms, labs, and resident services may be accessed through the east, Sixth Street, entrance. The private student housing may be accessed through the south, Jackson Street, entrance. On Floor 1 of Broadway, the elevator to the second floor classrooms, labs, and resident services is in the east, Sixth Street, vestibule V102. This entrance can be found at the north end of the east wall of the building, near the center of the block on Sixth Street. The elevator, E159, can be found at the south end of the west wall of the vestibule. The stairwell, S102, to the second floor classrooms, labs, and resident services can be found at the north end of the vestibule. On Floor 1 of Broadway, the elevators to student housing, E160 and E161, are in the south, Jackson Street, lobby L101. This entrance can be found near the center of the south wall of the building on Jackson Street. The elevators, E160 and E161, can be found in the southeast of the lobby. Restrooms There are no public restrooms on Floor 1. Public restrooms can be found on the second floor of Broadway. Retail businesses have their own restrooms and policies regarding public use. Wheelchair Accessible Entrances and Exits Broadway Residence Hall is fully wheelchair accessible. Both the public university entrance on Sixth Street to the east and the private residential entry on Jackson Street to the south are fully wheelchair accessible. Elevators Elevator E159 is located to the south on the west wall of vestibule V102 immediately upon entering the east, Sixth Street, entrance to Broadway. This elevator provides access to the first and second floors of Broadway. This is for all Broadway classrooms, labs, or resident services. Two elevators, E160 and E161 are located in the southeast corner of lobby L101, back and to the right of the south, Jackson Street, entrance to Broadway. These elevators provide access to all floors. These are for access to student housing. Keycard access is required for access to private residential floors 3 through 10. Stairs Stairwell S101 is located immediately west of the south, Jackson Street, entrance to Broadway. This stairwell provides egress only from the second floor classrooms, labs, and residence services. Stairwell S102 is located in the north of vestibule V102, immediately to the right upon entering the east, Sixth Street, entrance to Broadway. This stairwell provides access to floors 1 and 2 only. Stairwell S103 is located near the center of the east wing of Broadway. This stairwell provides egress only from floors 2 through 11. Note: eleventh floor penthouse and roof are not publicly accessible. Stairwell S104 is located outside of the northeast corner of the west wing of Broadway. This stairwell provides egress from floors 2 through 10 to college street. Keycard access is required to enter this stairwell from street level. Note: this stairwell is an external stairwell, exposed to the elements. FLOOR 2 2 of 12 Overall Description On Floor 2 of Broadway the elevator E259 is located in the main lobby L202. Elevators E260 and E261 are located at the west end of the north wall of corridor C202. The main lobby, L202, is bordered on the north by stairwell S202 with access to floors 1 and 2, on the south by study lounge 216, and on the west by rooms 202 and 215, with the elevator, E259, at the center facing east and recycling bins to the west. Study lounge 216 is bordered on the north by the main lobby, L202, on the south by classroom 218, and on the west by corridor C201 with access to housing and resident life services (authorized access only), vestibule 201 with access to emergency exit stairwell S203, and corridor C202 with access to classrooms 219 and 220, room 201, and lobby L201 with access to elevators E260 and E261. Corridor C202 is bordered on the north at the west end by lobby L201 with access to elevators E260 and E261 and near the center by room 201, on the east by study lounge 216, on the south by classrooms 219 and 220, and on the west by corridor C208 with access to stairwell S201 and corridor C203. Corridor C203 is bordered on the east by corridor C208 with access to stairwell S201 and corridor C202, on the south by classroom 222, and on the west by corridor C204 with access to classroom 224, computer lab 226, suite 230, and corridor C205. Corridor C204 is bordered on the north by suite 230 and corridor C205 with access to women’s restroom 228, men’s restroom 229, and corridor C207, on the east by computer lab 226 with access to computer lab 225, and on the south by corridor C203 and classroom 224. Corridor C205 is bordered on the north at the west end of the corridor by women’s restroom 228 and at the east end of the corridor by the men’s restroom 229, on the east by corridor C207 with access to suite 230 and stairwell S204 with egress from floors 2 through 10, and on the west by corridor C204. Restrooms On Floor 2 of Broadway the restrooms are located in corridor C205 at the north end of the west wing of Broadway. Women’s restroom 228 is located on the north wall near the west end of corridor C205. Men’s restroom 229 is located on the north wall near the east end of corridor C205. The elevator lobby L301 is bordered on the north by corridor C301, with access to dormitory suites 310 through 317, stairwell S303, and corridor C302, and on the south by corridor C303, with access to dormitory suites 330 through 335, room 301, corridor C302, and lobby L302. Corridor C301 is bordered on the north by dormitory suites 310 through 313 at the west end of the corridor, followed by dormitory suites 314 through 317 at the east end of the corridor, and on the south at the west end of the corridor by the elevator lobby L301, near the center of the corridor by the vestibule to stairwell S303 with access to all floors, keycard required, and east of center by corridor C302 with access to dormitory suites 320 through 323 and corridor C303. Corridor C302 is bordered on the north by corridor C301 with access to dormitory suites 310 through 317, stairwell S303, and elevator lobby L301, on the east by dormitory suites 320 through 323, and on the west by corridor C303 with access to dormitory suites 330 through 335, room 301, elevator lobby L301, and lobby L302.
