commissioned by Linc Homes as Transport Consultant to advise on the transportation and highway issues associated with a proposed extra care facility of 60 bedroom at the site, known as Dan – Y – Mynydd House, accessed off Bronwydd Avenue on the western fringe of Porth Town Centre, in Rhondda Cynon Taf. 2.1.2 The application site occupies an area of approximately 0.43 hectares and encompasses a 2-storey single structure that is currently home to a 30-bedroom Residential Care Home. Hard surfaced parking and manoeuvring areas are also available to the north and west of the building facilitating a total of 20 vehicle spaces. 2.1.3 The site is located in a semi-suburb environment and is bordered by Bronwydd Avenue to the north, a row of terraced properties to the east, a surfaced car park to the south and Bronwydd Park to the west.
