He is the co-author of Cultivating Life and the Seed Garden and has won an Emmy Award for his work as a television producer of Cultivating Life, a PBS series on outdoor living and gardening. Lee studied at Kyoto University of Art and Design, the English Gardening School at London’s Chelsea Physic Garden, and the New York Botanical Garden. IRVIN ETIENNE is the Horticultural Display Coordinator for the Garden at Newfelds (Indianapolis Museum of Art) where he has worked for over 25 years. In this position he helps the horticulturists with their plant selection and garden design as well as designing and maintaining his own areas. With knowledge and skill, Irvin cares for 152 acres of garden and grounds flled with woody and herbaceous plants, but he lusts for and loves the tropical species most of all. PANAYOTI KELAIDIS is a plant explorer, gardener, and public garden administrator associated with Denver Botanic Gardens (DBG), where he is now Senior Curator and Director of Outreach. He has designed plantings for many of the gardens at DBG and is particularly noted for the plantings of the Rock Alpine Garden. He has received the Scott Garden and Horticulture Medal and Award and Liberty Hyde Bailey Medal. MIDORI SHINTANI is the Head Gardener at Tokachi Millennium Forest in Hokkaido, Japan. She studied horticulture and landscape architecture before training to become a gardener at Millesgården and Rosendals Trädgård in Sweden. She worked to gain experiences of garden design, landscaping technology, and nursery management in both traditional and modern styles in Japan. Since 2008, Midori has been committed to creating new Japanese horticulture by merging traditional horticulture into wild nature at Tokachi Millennium Forest. JAMES ALEXANDER-SINCLAIR is a well-respected and much in-demand British garden designer. He writes for most British publications, has presented garden programs on the BBC for many years, and is very popular on the lecture circuit. James has been a Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) gardens judge since 2006, Chair of the Chelsea Flower Show selection panel, and Chairman of the Friday, October 18, 2019 International Jury at the Moscow Flower Show. In 2011 he was elected to the Council of the RHS.
