Families in need of assistance must first call Fairfax County Coordinated Services Planning (CSP) Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at 703-222-0880 to receive a referral to ACCA. Eligibility is based on intake. A referral is needed. Bethlehem Baptist Church 7836 Fordson Road Alexandria, VA 22306 703-360-4170 http://www.bethlehemofalexandria.org Bethlehem Baptist Church offers a food pantry with distributions every Tuesday from 6:45 – 8:00 p.m.. They have nonperishable food items only. Identification is required. Christ House (located in the City of Alexandria, daily hot meal is available to Fairfax County residents) 131 S. West Street Alexandria, VA 22314 703-549-8644 http://www.ccda.net/programs_christhouse.php A hot meal is offered from 4:30-5:30 p.m. every day of the year. Christ House also has a food pantry. Persons in need of food can request assistance once every 30 days by coming to Christ House on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The amount of food distributed depends on the size of the family. Christ House requires that anyone requesting food from the pantry present identification. Committee for Helping Others (CHO) Vienna Court Condos 133 Park Street, NE Vienna, VA 22180 703-281-7614 [email protected] CHO provides emergency food, not long-term food service. It serves the Dunn Loring, Merrifield, Oakton, and Vienna areas. The Food Closet takes referrals from Fairfax County, area churches, and individuals. Community of Faith United Methodist Church 13224 Franklin Farm Road Herndon, VA 20171 703-620-1977 http://www.cof-umc.org/missions.html Community of Faith offers a weekly food distribution ministry. This ministry is offered in partnership with FACETS, WFCM, and the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany. On Tuesday evenings, beginning at 6 p.m., families in need of food are able to select frozen meats, bakery items, and nonperishable food items. There are no eligibility requirements. Families are welcome to come to the pantry on a weekly basis as long as they have a need. The above website has a downloadable brochure on the food program. 3 Ecumenical Community Helping Others (ECHO) 7205 Old Keene Mill Road Springfield, VA 22150 http://www.echo-inc.org/ 703-569-9160 ECHO provides emergency food assistance to families living in the Springfield community. Eligibility is limited to those living in the following zip codes: 22151, 22152, 22153, 22015, and parts of 22150 and 22312, A referral is needed. Please call 703-569-9160 between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on a weekday (except federal holidays) or between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. FACETS 10640 Page Avenue, Suite 300 Fairfax, VA 22030 http://www.facetscares.org 703-352-5090 FACETS provides emergency food assistance. This includes a hot meal every night of the year to families and individuals who are homeless and living in and around four sites along Lee Highway in Fairfax County/City. Persons seeking a hot meal can meet the Hot Meals volunteers in the Thomas Somerville Company parking area located at 9825 Fairfax Boulevard, Fairfax, VA 22030, every evening at 6:15 p.m. Identification is not required. FACETS also has a food pantry. The food pantry is open Monday through Friday from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. Contact FACETS for more information. Fairfax For Immediate Sympathetic Help (Fairfax FISH) http://fairfaxfish.org/services 703-222-0880 FISH, in conjunction with member churches, has six food pantries located at the following churches: Fairfax Presbyterian Church, Little River United Church of Christ, Parkwood Baptist Church, Providence Presbyterian Church, Saint Mary's Catholic Church, and Saint Stephen's United Methodist Church. FISH services require a referral from Fairfax County Coordinated Services Planning (CSP). Please call CSP at 703-222-0880. Falls Church Community Services Council (FCS) http://www.fcswecare.org/ 703-222-0880 FCS Office Knox Presbyterian Church 7416 Arlington Blvd Falls Church, VA 22042 Falls Church Community Services Council provides emergency food assistance to families in the following zip codes: 22042, 22043, 22044, and 22046. Families in need of assistance can be referred by church leaders or county, city, or other human services social workers. Call Fairfax County Coordinated Services Planning (CSP) at 703-222-0880 to receive a referral to Falls Church Community Services Council. Food for Others 2938 Prosperity Avenue Fairfax, VA 22031 http://www.foodforothers.org 703-207-9173 Fax: 703-207-9204 Food for Others distributes food in the following ways: 4 Referrals for Emergency Food Families with a referral from a social service provider or agency, including social worker, clergy, hospital, or school for emergency food can receive three to five days worth of free food.
