Paluxy River Tracks

Paluxy River Tracks

Hi my name is Nathan Smith and I would like to tell you about the human and dinosaur footprints that are located in the Paluxy river basin near Glen Rose TX. I believe that the footprints and the geology of the area are wholly consistent with the Bible and Noah’s flood. I would also like to tell you about a dinosaur dig that I went on, In June of 2016, to dig up and clean dinosaur footprints 1 History: of the Bible and of Glen Rose etc 2 http://creationanswers.net/reviews/BAUGH1.HTM this site has brief history of issue… hopefully it is good…. Everywhere in Glen Rose TX there are dinosaurs (grocery store, park benches, hotel signs). These dinosaurs are in front of the visitors center in Glen Rose Let’s go over the history from the Bible and the from the area of Glen Rose 3 The views are very different. The plain, straightforward teaching of the Bible is that the history of the earth spans some 6 thousand years or so. The major events in the biblical view of history include: •The creation by God over six 24-hour days God made man in his own image (earth is perfect) Dinos and man created on day six of creation •The fall of Adam and Eve (this is what brought death and struggle into the world) •The global flood of Noah’s time (judgment based on man’s sin) •The dispersion of people groups at the Tower of Babel (explains the races) •The life of Jesus on the earth and His death and resurrection •The end times as described in the book of Revelation These events represent the unfolding of God’s plan and purposes for humankind. Evolutionism Instead, provides for the formation of the universe, its structures, and life have been random, chance happenings that have unfolded over billions of years for no particular purpose. dinosaurs first evolved about 235 million years ago In the Darwinists point of view there was no perfect world of creation (and no God of creation). This is a completely different story than with the Bible. In the end, none of it matters as the stars burn up their fuel leaving a cold, dead universe. 4 Behemoth: is probably a sauropod of somekind Leviathan: Job 41:8 If you lay a hand on it, you will remember the struggle and never do it again! 19 Flames stream from its mouth; sparks of fire shoot out. 20 Smoke pours from its nostrils as from a boiling pot over burning reeds. 21 Its breath sets coals ablaze, and flames dart from its mouth. Kronosaur or perhaps Hadrosaur or Parasaurolophus (with its bony crest used to store the flammable mixture in separate chambers) 5 1938 Roland T. Bird found human footprints, seven train car loads of dinosaur tracks were extracted and are in M of Nat Hist. He saw human footprints in stores also. http://www.footprintsinstone.com/history/roland-t-bird/ The Stanley Taylor trail of human footprints are prints were a dinosaur walked and made prints then a layer of mud washed in and later a person walked on top of the layer of mud that was on top of the dinosaur footprints As the human Taylor prints (layer) eroded the dinosaur footprints began to be seen better underneath the human footprints Carl Baugh has excavated more than 90 human footprints and even more dinosaur footprints (Texas Tracks and Artifacts p 57) 6 location of the dig site There is a creation museum in Glen Rose that hosts annual digs to search for and uncover fossilized dinosaur and human footprints I hope that you will be able to go to the creation museum in Glen Rose and maybe even go to the dig site to help dig up dinosaur and human footprints If you are ready lets dig into the subject 7 June 2016 This is facing down stream (the bend in the river is where the Taylor trail is; I’ll talk about that later) Cleaned previously excavated footprints Excavated about 5 new Dinosaur footprints Removed mud from stair case topography The Dinosaur Valley Park is downstream and to the left about 1/2 mile 8 When a layer is removed (like the one in the background) it leaves little pancake bumps that have prints underneath them 9 The print is excavated using a special hammer with a flat head to lift the pancake off of the top 10 This is an Acrocanthosaurus footprint. 11 The team cleaned these two dinosaur footprints that also have human footprints on them 12 I believe that these are human footprints. Unfortunately these pictures would not be good enough data to try and show people that humans and dinosaurs lived together. I hope to back to this site and get better pictures when the prints are dry or find earlier pictures of these prints so that more details can be seen. 13 This section was removed to preserve the human and dinosaur footprints Point out that the other dinosaur footprints do not have the human footprints inside the dinosaur footprints The cut out section is in storage and will be prepared for display. There were a total of three dinosaur footprints in this slab, however, 2 of them were too compromised by erosion and the dinosaur print with a human footprint in it is the only one left 14 Female footprint (Beverly) inside Acrocanthosaurus The Beverly print is one of four human footprints in a row (the other three have eroded away) These fossils need to be preserved as soon as possible because once the fossil is exposed it begins to erode On display is a copy of one the dinosaur footprints with the Beverly human footprint inside it 15 Go thru chart Mention that sometimes the dinosaur will walk on toes and heels 16 Sauroposeidon proteles tracks The Sauroposeidon proteles dinosaur is the tallest known dinosaur 17 Sauroposeidon proteles is the tallest dinosaur known (not the biggest but tallest) About 50 feet tall 120 feet long 18 This picture was probably taken in the 1980s Carl Baugh: Dinosaurs 19 Clam escape marks One clam did not make it I have an example of a fossilized clam from the Glen Rose area 20 I call this is the worm rock 21 It has fossilized worm tracks in it I have an example of a fossilized worm track These worm tracks fossilized before they had time to erode (that’s how quickly they fossilized) 22 I found a pycnodont tooth fossil at the site A Pycnodont is a fish I brought it with me so you could see it up close 23 As we broke some of the rocks in the overburden Found a geode I have an example of part of a geode 24 Not far from the McFall site where we were working there is the Dinosaur Valley Park where more dinosaur footprints can be seen It is here that a creation scientist’s life can get pretty dangerous You may need to shield your eyes for this next picture 25 Main part of The Dinosaur Valley Park Downstream about 1/2 mile from the McFall excavation site Much destruction occurred on this ledge during the flooding of Spring 2016 Paluxy River rather high today (June of 2016) 26 Acrocanthosaurus footprint I was walking around this area and was wondering “what if I found a human footprint”? Wouldn’t that be funny! I found what looked like badly eroded footprints Picture is from Feb 2015 27 Eroded footprint with toe slide Picture is from Feb 2015 28 Eroded footprint Picture is from Feb 2015 29 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaQqa90e9KQ Youtube Video: The Paluxy fossil human footprints - Genesis Week, special episode #33, season 2 Ian Juby Wazooloo shows where Willett track was originally. Layer was exposed in 1950s. This layer is the same or lower than the layer we excavated at upstream (with the Acrocanthosaurus footprints) http://www.footprintsinstone.com/the-footprints/o-w-willet-fossil-human-footprint/ The Willet fossil human footprint was discovered in the 1950’s by O.W. Willet. He removed the print from a limestone ledge along the banks of the Paluxy river at a location along the river where the current Dinosaur Valley State Park is located. Mr. Willet’s family was in possession of the print for 60 years and sold the print to the Creation Evidence Museum in 2010. The Willet print is probably the most clear of all the fossil human footprints that have been found in this area. 30 Print is 11” long http://www.thelivingmoon.com/43ancients/02files/Of_Giants_03.html The Willet fossil human footprint was discovered in the 1950’s by O.W. An erosion mark? 31 Just up the river from Dinosaur Valley Park The Taylor Trail: A series of 14 sequential human footprints on the same platform with at least 134 dinosaur tracks. This is the quintessential mantrack that evolutionists have attacked Gentleman in picture is John Heffner. He is a young earth creationist and helps with Carl Baugh's ministry.
