OKLAHOMA CITY REGIONAL March 13‐15 Rose State Hudiburg Chevrolet Center Talent On Parade is owned and managed by Kimberly and Eric McCluer Your hardworking TOP staff for this show also includes Carla Barkley, Marti Clary, Joey Doucette, Audra Key, Brendan Lean, Anthony Lofendo, Bronson Mans, Debra Masur, Jasen Page, Jewell Parnell, John Earl Robinson and Amanda Wheeler Talent On Parade, LLC Alive Photo and Video, LLC (316) 522‐4836 (314) 472‐5027 talentonparade.com alivephotovideo.com WELCOME AND THANKS FOR ATTENDING We’re very happy that you’ve joined us in our 23rd year of hosting competitions. The following are the “TOP 10” points to keep in mind for a fun, fair and safe event for everyone. 1. Dance competition by its very nature is a subjective event, meaning it is subject to a wide variety of opinions. The outcome is also subject to a variety of changing circumstances throughout any given day that you very likely have no control over. This is a dance competition, not a life or death struggle. Please accept it for what it is. Relax, have fun, make new friends or renew old friendships. Above all, enjoy yourself. 2. Videotaping and photography (flash or no flash) will be strictly prohibited by audience members, except during awards presentations. This is a very common practice in the entertainment industry, and with good reason. Studio directors, teachers, and even parents tend to get very grouchy when choreography and/or costuming are copied without approval. More importantly, we’re trying to protect the privacy and safety of the kids. The fact is there are people out there of a very questionable nature who may want to use photographic images inappropriately. 3. Hoverboards are prohibited in the venue and on the venue grounds. This is simply a safety and liability issue. If you brought one with you it will need to stay in the car. 4. Do not leave personal items unattended. Again, the sad fact is that there are those among us who will think nothing of taking stuff that doesn’t belong to them if given the opportunity. TOP cannot be responsible for lost, broken, or stolen items of any kind. 5. Please be considerate of one another in the dressing areas. You may have noticed that we don’t pre‐ assign dressing rooms. Our thought here is to encourage interaction among the dancers, not to create a turf war. The signs you see hanging in dressing areas are simply to help our staff know where you ended up. NO MEN are allowed in the female dressing areas under any circumstances. 6. Assigned performance times are to be considered approximate only. Flexibility is key to keeping the show moving. Please be ready, and willing, to perform earlier or later than scheduled. Also, be aware that the timing of awards ceremonies or other special events may fluctuate with the schedule during the course of the day. 7. Please limit your moving around in the audience during stage performances. When you stand, or walk down an aisle during a performance you’re blocking someone else’s view. We understand that it’s not always possible, but please try to time moving around to a gap between acts. 8. Smoking of any kind is prohibited in the venue. This includes any kind of electronic and/or vapor devices. 9. Guns are prohibited in the venue and on the venue grounds. This includes concealed carry. 10. Score sheets and video critiques will be made available online to studio directors in the week following competition. These materials will be posted to the dashboard of your DanceComp Genie account.
