BRIEF SUMMARY Sri L. Srinivas, was granted a quarry Lease for Colour Granite mine over an extent of 16.214 Hectares in Sy. No: 168 of Kusumala Village, Mandasa Mandal, Srikakulam District, of A.P. for a period of 20 years. The applied area is at a distance of 0.34 kms from Tabagam Village. PROJECT PROPOSAL: The proposed mining project is mining of Colour Granite and Road Metal (Mineral waste) is semi-mechanized open cast method. It is proposed to excavate Colour Granite and Road Metal (Mineral waste) with a production capacity 30636.52 m3/Annum and Road Metal 137864.34 m3/Annum. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: L. Srinivas filed an application for grant of quarry lease for Colour Granite over an extent of 16.214 hectares in Sy.No.168 of Kusumala Village, Mandasa Mandal, Srikakulam District with relevant documents. The said quarry lease application was received by the Assistant Director of Mines & Geology, Tekkali on 09.09.2010. The Director of Mines & Geology, Hyderabad has granted a quarry lease for Colour Granite over an 16.214 hectares in Sy.No.168 of Kusumala Village, Mandasa Mandal, Srikakulam District in favour of Sri L.Srinivas for a period of 20 years vide proceedings No.51632/R1-1/2010, Dt.10.05.2012 The quarry lease deed has been executed vide proceedings No.1232/Q/2010, Dt.20.06.2012. The quarry lease is valid for a period of 20 years from 20.06.2012 to 19.06.2032. The Mining scheme is approved vide Letter No: 213/DSM-TKL/2017, dated: 18.05.2017. The modified first scheme of mining approved vide Lr.No. 1254/MP-SKLM/2019 Dt. 25.11.2019. Credible action was initiated in the Hon’ble Court of Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Tekkali, vide case No :268/2016 and the case was cleared with the payment of penalty. EXTENT AND TYPE OF LEASE AREA: The mine area is 16.214 Hectares in Sy.No.168 of Kusumala Village, Mandasa Mandal, Srikakulam District. The mine area is a Government Land. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: As per the approved mining plan (Lr. No: 1254/MP-SKLM/2019, dated: 25.11.2019), Sri L. Srinivas had a mining lease of Colour Granite over an extent of 16.214 hectares in Sy.No.168 of Kusumala Village, Mandasa Mandal, Srikakulam District. The proposed mining project is Colour Granite and Road Metal (Mineral waste) in semi- mechanized open cast method by developing benches with 6 mts height. LOCATION DETAILS: Nearest Habitation is Tabagam Village at a distance of 0.34 kms. The Mandasa Mandal is at a distance of 4.91 kms from the lease area. The lease area can be approached by Srikakulam – Ichchapuram road. .
