Letter from the AFET and SEDE Chairs requesting reattribution to SEDE of the Proposal for a Regulation establishing the European Defence Industrial Development Programme Heard the Chair inform the meeting that he - together with the SEDE Chair - had contested the attribution to ITRE of the proposal for a Regulation establishing the European Defence Industrial Development Programme. B. Letter from the AFET, SEDE and DROI Chairs requesting authorisation to draw up three Annual Reports outside the quota for INI reports Heard the Chair note that he had informed the Chair of the Conference of Committee Chairs of the three annual activity reports falling under the respective remits of AFET, SEDE and AFET that are subject to automatic authorisation and outside the maximum quota for own-initiative reports. C. Update on guests to AFET meetings Heard the Chair note that he intends to invite Mr. Nikola Dimitrov, Foreign Affairs Minister of FYROM, and Ms. Ana Brnabić, Serbian Prime Minister-designate, to AFET meetings in the near future. Rapporteurs for the recommendation to the Council on the Eastern Partnership Summit of November 2017, pursuant to Rule 113 of the Rules of Procedure PV\1129433EN.docx 3/9 PE607.828v01-00 EN Heard the Chair note the decision of the political groups to nominate Ms. Laima Andrikiene (EPP, LT) and Mr. Knut Fleckenstein (S&D, DE) as rapporteurs for the Recommendation on the Eastern Partnership Summit and that he would immediately request the Conference of Presidents’ authorisation for co-rapporteurship for this Recommendation. II. DECISIONS A. Request by Mr David Campbell Bannerman, Chair of the Iraq Delegation, to use the AFET expertise budget for a study on the political situation in Iraq and the role of the electoral reform. Approved the request. B. Format of a possible “seminar on counter-terrorism” with Members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Iranian Parliament, in the second half of 2017 Considered the possible format of the seminar and decided to return to the issue at the next meeting, based on a revised concept note. C. AFET's representation on the Board of EU Trust Fund for Colombia Decided to nominate Mr Ignacio Salafranca (EPP, ES) as AFET´s representative on the EU Trust Fund for Colombia. D. Postponement of the drawing up of the AFET Recommendation on the "Negotiations on the EU-Azerbaijan Comprehensive Agreement" Decided to postpone the drawing up of the above Recommendation to 2018.
