JOHNSON. – The death occurred, at Rampside Hall, Barrow, on Sunday evening, of a well—known Furness farmer, in the person of Mr. William Johnson, at the age of 73 years. The deceased was a native of Kirkby and formerly had (a) parcel (of) land at Askam. He later farmed at Bridgegate Farm1 at Roose, and twenty four years ago came to Rampside Hall. He was a frequent stock exhibitor at local agricultural shows, and was at the time of his death a member of the North Lonsdale Agricultural Society and Furness District Farmers’ Association. The interment took place at Rampside Parish Churchyard on Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. S.A. Adams, B.A., officiating. The relatives present included Mr. and Mrs. M. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. J.
