The 1930s saw the formation of “The Orange Bowl Committee,” the first Orange Bowl game to be broadcast on national radio and the construction of the Orange Bowl Stadium, which propelled the Orange Bowl to become a cornerstone of college football. THE 1940s: The Orange Bowl hosted legendary coaches like Wallace “Wally” Butts, Robert Neyland and Bobby Dodd in the 1940’s, as well as fabled players in Paul Christman, Frankie Sinkwich, Mike Holovak, Steve Van Buren, Frank Broyles and Tom Landry.
