Moving & Accommodation Costs Info The MAIA job center of the Potsdam-Mittelmark region grants within the framework of services for securing living standards pursuant to the second volume of the Social Code (SGB II) the actual costs of accommodation and heating pursuant to §22 SGB II, as far as such are adequate. Before looking for a flat, please carefully read the following: Prior to concluding a contract for a new accommodation the recipients of benefits from the MAIA job center pursuant to SGB II are to obtain a pledge on taking over the costs of the new accommodation from the MAIA job center (§22, para 4, item 1 of SGB II) Such application is to be submitted in good time normally meaning at least 4 weeks in advance. Please contact your personal point of contact at the MAIA job center if you are intending to move to a new accommodation. The pledge of the job center is to be mandatorily obtained prior to contact conclusion and forms the basis of cost acceptance. A subsequent pledge cannot not be granted.
