Sir / Madam, On the occasion of National Sports Day, on 29 TH August, Sports Branch , Directorate of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi is organizing Block Level Sports/ Games Competition under Panchayat Yuva Krida Aur Khel Abhiyan from 29 th August to 1st September, 2009 in the following five Blocks: - 1. Najafgarh 2. Nangloi 3. Alipur 4. Mehrauli 5. Shahadra The competitions will be held in the following 10 disciplines : - 1. ATHLETICS: For Boys : 100 m Run, 400m Run, 800m Run, 1500m Run, 3000m Run, 4 x 100m Relay, 4 x 400m Relay,Long Jump, Hi gh Jump, Shot Put, Discuss Throw. For Girls: 100 m Run, 400m Run, 800m Run, 1500m Run, 3000m Run, 4 x 100m Relay, 4 x 400m Relay,Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put, Discuss Throw. 2. HOCKEY: Boys and Girls 3. FOOTBALL: Boys and Girls. 4. WRESTLING: Boys 42kg., 46kg., 50kg., 54kg., 58kg., 63kg., 69kg.,76kg., 85kg. & above 85kg. Girls 38kg.,40kg., 43kg., 46kg., 49kg., 52kg., 63kg., 56kg.,60kg., 65kg. & above 65kg. 5. KABADDI: Boys and Girls. 6. KHO-KHO: Boys and Girls. 7. ARCHERY: Boys and Girls – 30Mts., 50Mts. 8. VOLLEYBALL: Boys and Girls. 9. HANDBALL: Boys and Girls 10.WEIGHTLIFTING: Boys: 50kg., 56kg., 62kg., 69kg., 77kg., 85kg., 94kg. & +94kg. Girls: 44kg., 48kg., 53kg., 58kg., 63kg., 69kg. & +6 9kg. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS: A. The age of the participant should be below 18 years as on 31 st Dec.2009. B. The participant should be residing in Rural Areas of these blocks.
