Bamboo Plantation in Balkhu to Teku Young Bamboos Initiation for Restoration In Bagmati river corridor at Balkhu Bridge, Sanepa to Kalopool, Teku is a dumping site of Metropolitan City Office. It was very worst and polluted from the last ten years. Now, SER Nepal has started to restore the dumping site at Bagmati river bank, Sanepa in association with Sahid Memorial Park, Sanepa and Department of Environment and sanitation, Lalitpur sub metropolitan city office, Lalitpur. Initially, SER Nepal has planted more than 100 bamboo trees in the river site and other plants are transplanted for park maintenance. Environmental engineer Mr. Pradeep Amatya from LSMC office, Mr. Ram Raj Rijal and Shalikram Sigdel from SER Nepal, Mr. Balaram Subedi from Shahid memorial park and local youths were participated in plantation and restoration program. Local clubs are highly encouraged to involve in the plantation and greenery development for save the Bagmati campaign.
