Irfani Hendri, SE., M.Si 2) Eva Mayasari, S.Pi., M.Sc 3) ABSTRACT Challenges and Potential of capture fisheries processing in each region and each SME is different, therefore, it needs to be seen from government policy aspect, social, cultural and economic environment, the role of related institutions, human resources that is owned, capital of each SME, technical and operational, as well as market opportunities and how to market it. This study provides an overview and information about opportunities and models for developing SME centers for processing fisheries products in West Kalimantan. The research approach used is the objective condition approach. The focus location of this research is in 2 districts, Kubu Raya Regency and Sambas Regency by utilizing primary and secondary data. The results shows that (1) salted / fresh fish processing, fish crackers, fish nuggets and Amplang (Crackers made from flour mixture and crushed fish meat) are still using traditional technology, (2) 83.33% SMEs are feasible to be cultivated because they have a rate / cost value> 1, (3) Sungai District Raya - Kubu Raya Regency and Sambas urban areas, have the opportunity to develop SMEs marketing centers for capture fisheries processing, (4) SWOT analysis shows that in developing SMEs, capture fisheries processing should use alternative SO strategies, and (5) models for developing SME centers. Processing of fish products can utilize Business Development Institutions (LPB), Village Incubators of Village Leading Products, and Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). Keywords: SME, SME centers, capture fisheries processing BADAN PENELITIAN DAN PENGEMBANGAN PROVINSI KALIMANTAN BARAT HASIL PENELITIAN 2019 ABSTRAK Tantangan dan Potensi dari pengolahan perikanan tangkap di setiap daerah dan setiap UMKM berbeda-beda, sehingga perlu dilihat dari aspek kebijakan pemerintah, sosial, budaya dan ekonomi sekitar, peranan lembaga terkait, SDM yang dimiliki, permodalan setiap UMKM, teknik dan operasional, serta peluang pasar dan cara pemasarannya. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran serta informasi tentang peluang dan model pengembangan sentra UMKM pengolahan hasil perikanan tangkap di Kalimantan Barat. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kondisi obyektif. Fokus lokasi dari penelitian ini di 2 Kabupaten yaitu Kabupaten Kubu Raya dan Kabupaten Sambas dengan memanfaatkan data primer dan data sekunder. Hasil yang didapat yaitu (1) pengolahan ikan asin/tawar, kerupuk ikan, nugget ikan dan amplang masih menggunakan teknologi tradisional, (2) 83,33% UMKM layak untuk diusahakan karena memiliki nilai rate/cost > 1, (3) Kecamatan Sungai Raya – Kabupaten Kubu Raya dan Kawasan perkotaan Sambas – Kabupaten Sambas, berpeluang sebagai lokasi pengembangan sentra pemasaran UMKM pengolahan perikanan tangkap, (4) analisis SWOT menunjukkan dalam mengembangkan UMKM pengolahan perikanan tangkap sebaiknya menggunakan alternatif strategi SO, dan (5) model pengembangan sentra UMKM pengolahan hasil ikan dapat memanfaatkan Lembaga Pengembangan Bisnis (LPB), Inkubator Desa Produk Unggulan Desa dan Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes).
