On the basis of the examination, we have made the prototype of RITE W.W.W. homepage. In this research, firstly we analyzed an information flow in a general research work, then drew necessary functions for the information network system. The result is shown as follows. Researcher's Action necessary function for the supposed service on network information network system system Collecting information Information collecting Homepage search function Mailing list 1 Accumulating information Information accumulating RITE Intranet service and sharing function 1 Being engaged in research (Special information system (Special information system for research) for research) 1 Providing information Information providing WWW. function Internet broadcasting Communication Communication function B B S. , News Conference tool Secondly, we examined several examples of an environmental WWW site and an intranet which seemed helpful for construction of RITE research information system. In examination, they were very helpful that page organization and design were designed to enable users to control easily and, that WWW servers were administrated by several administrators, sometimes by entrusted firms. Then we researched recent information system technology. Through this research we found that latest Internet technology enabled to construct easily controlled system environment for users and WWW would develop as a standard communication tool future. — 3 — On the basis of these examination, we suggested following information system, which could support research communication while it kept security of information. Service Introducing system Information collecting Automatic index collection Search system function WWW, BBS and mailing list BBS or mailing list Information Inside information sharing RITE inside WWW server accumulating and system *In case registration is considered sharing function important -Automatic registration system by e-mail *In case browsing and searching are important -Registration system on WWW homepage Inside BBS system Mailing
