Milwaukee Art Museum & Gallery Night in Milwaukee Milwaukee Art Museum The museum is home to over 35,000 works of art housed on four floors of over forty galleries with works from antiquity to the present. Included in the Collection are 15th– to 20th–century European and 17th– to 20th–century American paintings, sculpture, prints, drawings, decorative arts, photographs, and folk and self-taught art. Among the best in the nation are the Museum's holding of American decorative arts, German Expressionism, folk and Haitian art, and American art after 1960. Important artists represented include Gustav Caillebotte, Nardo di Cione, Francisco de Zurbarán, Jean- Honoré Fragonard, Winslow Homer, Auguste Rodin, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Henri de Toulouse- Lautrec, Frank Lloyd Wright, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Mark Rothko, Robert Gober, and Andy Warhol. Standard Group Tour $12 Adult/$5 College Includes Museum admission, self-guided touring, and 10% discount in the Museum Store. or 2. Contact: Deb Perrino [email protected] 608-756-1165 Milwaukee Art Museum & Gallery Night in Milwaukee Gallery Night and Day – Downtown Milwaukee The 26-year-old Gallery Night and Day is the premier art event in Milwaukee for both the experienced art connoisseur and the beginning admirer. This evening of gallery hopping and art viewing showcases over 50 venues throughout the downtown Milwaukee area four times a year. Admission is free to all participating venues during event Date: Friday April 25, 2014 Time: 5 to 9pm ** Galleries set their own hours, but must be open for at least 3 hours Friday evening. Rockford people should meet at the McDonalds at Riverside and Perryville by 9:30 arriving in Beloit by 9:50. Dee will drive from Rockford—so buckle up! We will leave the McDonalds on Hwy 81 and I-90 in Beloit around 10:00, and arrive at the museum 11:30-11:45. There is parking on the north side of the museum. We need 15 people to get the group rate of $12 otherwise it is $17 for adults, $14 for Seniors. So far we have 3 including myself—so feel free to invite a friend. I need to book our tour no later than April 22. Around 4:00 we'll have dinner. 5:00 starts the gallery tours. I can print up a couple participant maps and we can visit the 50 or so galleries and venues around downtown.
