
Joint Base Andrews Naval Air Facility, Allentown Road, Camp Springs, Maryland FACT SHEET as of 1 APRIL 2018 Background: Joint Base Andrews (JBA), located in Prince George’s County, Maryland, has operated as a joint base since 2010. Hosted by the U.S. Air Force‘s 11th Wing, JBA is comprised of more than 80 distinct organizations, including the 89th Airlift Wing (provides airlift worldwide for the President and Vice President of the United States, Cabinet members and other high-ranking U.S. and foreign government officials) as well as Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force Reserve and National Guards units. Approximately 17,000 people live and work on JBA, and it was recently named the top Air force Base in the Department of Defense by winning the 2015 Commander in Chief Installation Excellence Award.
