LITTLE HEATH SCHOOL Little Heath Road, Tilehurst Reading, Berkshire, RG31 5TY Headteacher: Mr D J Ramsden STUDENT VOICE ASSISTANT Required from September 2020 We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic student leader who is keen to develop the power of student voice at Little Heath School. This person would be involved in co-ordinating initiatives such as “Students As Learning Partners” projects, our annual Student Voice Conference, student ambassadors, our student leadership programme and the work of our School and House Councils. Local Government Scale EW7 £19,554.a., pro-rata and 44 weeks/year, (approximately £16,500.00 p.a.). You will be required to work 37 hours Monday to Friday, term time only plus 2 inset days. The person we are seeking will: have an excellent understanding of the potential of Student Voice to enhance learning; have strong communication and interpersonal skills; be able to motivate and inspire young people; be able to think creatively and use initiative; have good common sense and a flexible approach to work; be IT literate and willing to learn. Little Heath School is a highly successful comprehensive school (1610 on roll, including 320 in the Sixth Form) situated in a pleasant semi-rural setting to the west of Reading, with good access to road and rail links. As a school, we pride ourselves on our strong Professional Development programme, believing that support staff need to be able to develop their own practice collaboratively with others.
