Beach holidays or jungle retreats? Thailand offers the best of both. Thailand is known for its tropical, and white sandy beaches. It can be visited all year round from the most popular among the crowd to the most secluded beach of your choice. You may find the best jungle resorts hidden amidst nature in Thailand. Phi Phi Island are located in the middle of the Andaman sea, it is a part of Nopharat Thara Beach – Phi Phi Islands national park which contains 2 big islands – Koh Phi Phi Don and Koh Phi Phi Le, and 4 smaller islands nearby – Koh Yung, Koh Mai Phai, Koh Pida Nok and Koh Pida Nai. The best time to visit Koh Phi Phi is between the months of November and April when the weather is more temperate and the rains are less frequent. Koh Phi Phi also features a vibrant NIGHTLIFE, with Tonsai Beach containing dozens of beach bars and restaurants and lively Tonsai Village consisting of a maze of shops, bars, and restaurants. Smaller beaches around the island are alternatively ideal for honeymoon- ers, families, those on a budget, and those looking for the ultimate luxury resort retreat. The waters surrounding the Phi Phi Islands are filled with exotic marine life, including docile leopard sharks, and Snorkelling and diving day trip rival lounging on the beach as top activ- ities on Koh Phi Phi. It is the farthest East Island of Thailand in Trat sea. It is second to the biggest island in Trat and is the 4th biggest island after Phuket, Koh Chang, and Koh Samui. There are many beautiful beaches for tourists to visit; including Ao Mai Si Lek, Ao Yai Ki, Hat Khlong Mat, Ao Taphao, Ao Noi, Hat Khlong Chao, Ao Ngam Kho, Ao Bang Bao, Hat Takhian, Hat Khlong Hin, Ao Chak, and Ao Phrao. There are activities to do with the purpose of giving the nature back its balance; such as, releasing aquatic animals, and planting corals. Koh Lipe is a small island located in the southern Thailand’s Satun Province near the Thai- land-Malaysia border, has been through rapid development to face the increasing tourism demand. Koh Lipe accessible from Langkawi Island, Malaysia and from Pak Para Pier in Satun by ferry and boats. Sunset Beach (west), Sunrise Beach (east), and Pattaya Beach (south) are the three main beaches of Koh Lipe. The prominent features of Ko Lipe are natural coral reefs, beauty of a vast open bay, and a powdered-sand beach. The island and its surroundings are quite famous for snorkelling and scuba diving. A large number of accommodation choices are available on Koh Lipe, from bamboo-and-thatch bungalows to four-star resorts. Located in Fang District in Chiang Mai and at an elevation of 1,400 meters above sea level, this destination offers you a deep valley landscape, panoramic views and a lot of activities to do. Enjoy the nice weather all year round, and wake up to a stunning sunrise and sea of fog in the morning hours. Especially during the best months November to January. For families who are less willing to camp, there are also a resort located there. One of the Royal Forest projects by HM Queen Sirikit for highland development, it is dubbed “the Switzerland of Thailand” as it offers a beautiful lake reservoir surrounded by pine trees. During the winter months from December to January, enjoy the morning mist surrounding the lake. Enjoy the jungle retreat by staying near the edge of the reservoirs as they are camp sites and also cottages offered to visitors. For those who enjoy hiking, there is a trekking path towards Nam Yot Cliff where you can enjoy beautiful flowers along the path and is a highlight of this place. Nestled in Surat Thani province is a jungle retreat not only for adventure but also as a ro- mantic getaway. Part of the Khao Sok National Park, the lake has a whole lot to offer. From activities such as canoeing, swimming, exploring by long tail boat, paddling through the mangroves, the choice is so diverse. The lake offers great accommodation choices.
