A Collegiate All-American in both soQball and basketball. She has a special ability to get the most out of the athletes, showing them that the sky is the limit. Her years of experience at the game begins an advantage to those who work with her. Hing and defensive specialist. CAMP DIRECTOR: KAYLA MILLER Coach Kayla is in her 17th year as the assistant coach at Longwood. She is the pitching coach for the Lancers along with responsibili7es such as: budget, recrui7ng, camp and team travel. Megan Baltzell Emily Murphy Former Longwood All-American catcher and two-7me Big Former Longwood shortstop and four-7me All-Big South selec7on South Player of the Year Megan Baltzell has joined the Lancer Emily Murphy has joined the Lancer soQball coaching staff as an coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach. Baltzell works assistant coach. Murphy works primarily with the middle primarily with the catchers and assist with hing instruc7on. infielders and assist with hing instruc7on. A 2016 graduate of The 2014 and 2015 Big South Player of the Year and the 2015 Longwood, Murphy led the blue and white to three Big South Big South Female Athlete of the Year, Baltzell finished among Championships to go along with two regular season crowns and the top-10 all-7me in NCAA history with 76 career home runs, three appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Murphy helped ranking among the top-three in the naon in 2013 (30) and Longwood win three games in the NCAA Tournament throughout 2015 (27). In addi7on, Baltzell competed on the United States her career, including victories over ACC foes North Carolina and Women’s Naonal Team and par7cipated at the WBSC Virginia Tech. Murphy is one of 17 players in Big South history to Women’s Baseball World Cup in September. earn all-conference honors in each of her four seasons. .
