Forwards Allan Dell George Horne Zander Fagerson Pete Horne We are delighted with our squad and believe we’ve picked a group capable of playing Grant Gilchrist Sam Johnson our best rugby and doing this consistently with every game we play. Jonny Gray Blair Kinghorn The players have worked hard to be in the best physical shape of their careers, and this Stuart McInally (C) Greig Laidlaw conditioning will be essential with the challenges that lie ahead throughout the tournament. Willem Nel Sean Maitland Our campaign begins in Yokohama where we will face Ireland. I believe it’s the first time we’ve Gordon Reid Ali Price played each other outside of our own countries and we’re aware of their quality, toughness Jamie Ritchie Finn Russell and experience of playing in big Test matches. With heat likely to be a factor early on in the Blade Thomson Tommy Seymour pool stages it should be an intriguing encounter. Ben Toolis Duncan Taylor Subsequent matches against Samoa and Russia will also require us to perform very well George Turner against dangerous opposition. Our remaining pool match against Japan is the last game of Hamish Watson the pool stages and we look forward to an exciting contest against the host nation. Ryan Wilson We are pleased that our progress in the tournament will be shared with a wider audience by written press, broadcast and online media from around the world. As well as showcasing the world’s top teams, Rugby World Cup 2019 presents a great opportunity to grow the game and encourage people to get involved with our sport.
