PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given in pursuance of section 9 (1 ) (a) of the Delhi Water Board Act, 1998 that in the portion of state of Delhi as specified in the Schedule below, water is available from the water source of the Board for a reasonable supply to all the lands and buildings in such portion. It is notified, that development charges for water @ Rs. 440/- per sq.m. of the plotted area are recoverable as per formulae given here under: - (a) A property owner, as per erstwhile practice will get rebate of 20% on the total due amount if the same is deposited in lump-sum within 3 months from the date of notification. (b) After expiry of 3 months, the rebate will be reduced to 10%, if the outstanding amount is paid in lump-sum within next three months. In case of payment in installments, no such rebate will be given instead interest @ 12% p.a. will be levied from the date of notification. (c) After the period of 12months interest @ 12% p.a. will be levied from the date of notification. The plot-holders / occupiers are advised to apply for sanction of water connection in the prescribed form which may be obtained from the office of Zonal Revenue Officer(South)IV, Pocket-J, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi-110076 .The form can be down-load from DJB’s website www.delhijalboard.nic.in . After sanction of water connection and payment of initial charges, water development charges and road restoration charges, the applicant shall engage a licensed plumber. The onus will be on the plot- holders to get the bills from above office of D.J.B. for development charges to be paid.
