The swelling synths of 'Never Ending Circles' kick things off, as the band take us on a tour of the artfully considered pop of their two albums. The sunset, the cool night air, the effervescent energy of three friends in their prime and the elation as we united to rave through that immense drop in 'Clearest Blue' it was all just so perfect. Glastonbury 2016 was Chvrches marking themselves as future future headliners. It really was their finest hour. “ ● Chvrches have also seen a spike in streaming, with Google Play Music crunching the numbers the band's streams were up 94% after their Saturday night set. So I am very excited to end this show with New Order’s song Temptation. Martin mentioned how honored he was to be opening for New Order at #Glastonbury on the “Other Stage” Billboard reported Martin saying “We're performing before New Order,” said a respectful Doherty. “One of the most important electronic bands of all time.” that that I reached out to him on Twitter and asked him what song we should end the podcast with. So here it is …. From an album called “Factory Records: Communications 197892 (US version)” the song Temptation from New Order will close out the Chvrches Fan Podcast #2! ● https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002FU8LQ8 Have a great day! Chvrches followed The 1975 with a homecoming belter that demonstrated just how far the trio of electro firecrackers from Glasgow, Scotland led by frontwoman and warrior Lauren Mayberry had come in a few years. Dressed all in white, with bodyeclipsing military platform boots, she boosted and blasted herself all over the stage, while bandmates Iain Cook and Martin Doherty completed the recreation of the band's signature indietronica pop anthems – each one of them (from "Empty Threat" via "Gun" to "The Mother We Share") capable of rivaling any Max Martin studio invention. As if Mayberry wasn't empowering enough, Doherty took to the mic to do his vocals on track "Carry Me Over," while Mayberry retreated to keys and synths. “ The visible thrill from the crowd (some of whom did have “We're performing before New Order,” said a respectful Doherty. “One of the most important electronic bands of all time.”droplets streaming down their faces) would suggest that maybe one day there'll be a new bunch of hopefuls saying exactly the same thing preChvrches on this ● http://headlineplanet.com/home/2016/06/26/panicatthediscoentersaltradiostop40c hvrches hayleywilliamsshinedownbobmosestop50/here platform ○ Up ten places, CHVRCHES’ “Bury It (featuring Hayley Williams)” ranks as the Mediabase alt panel’s #46 song.
