MONMOUTH COLLEGE MEN'S GOLF RECORD BOOK TEAM HISTORY The first recorded rounds of men’s golf at Monmouth College were recorded in 1896-97. The first Midwest Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s golf championship meet was held in the spring of 1934 and has been renewed annually except for the WWII years of 1943 through 1945. Men's golf was begun at Monmouth in the spring of 1938 and sponsored until 1982. The sport was revived for one year in 1992 and added as a varsity sport again in 2000. Monmouth won MCAC titles in 1940, 1975 and five straight from 1977-81. Individual scores and records are incomplete prior to the 2000 season.
