Most recently, the Bears dropped a 35-10 decision against the Tigers in Pikeville, Ky. That Georgetown team went on to fi nish 10-1 with a fi rst-round loss in the NAIA vs. Playoffs. • Georgetown, at 3-3 overall, is off to its worst start since going 2-4 in 2008. Last season the Tigers fi nished the regular season undefeated at 10-0 but this season started with a loss, falling to Ohio Pikeville Bears (4-3) Dominican 41-14 at home. The other two losses have come on the road against ranked NAIA 2012 Record: 3-8 (1-4 MSC East/T4th) teams, including No. 2 Cumberlands (Ky.), 38-35, and No. 15 Faulkner (Ala.), 55-31. • The Tiger defense has been tough to crack at times this season, ranking sixth in the NAIA in sacks 2013 Rank: NR per game (3.3) and No. 7 in the nation in rushing defense, allowing just 107.3 yards per contest. Last:: W, 35-24 vs. Bethel (Tenn.) While the defense has helped, Georgetown’s offense has also soared through the air, averaging just under 300 yards per game. Quarterback Neal Pawsat leads the charge, ranking eighth in the NAIA Georgetown Tigers (3-3) with 283.8 passing yards per game. Thirteen different Tigers have caught a pass this season, while 2012 Record: 10-1 (5-0 MSC East/1st) Ben Patenaude leads the pack with 349 yards on 18 catches with a touchdown. Millar, who started his collegiate career at Georgetown, averaged 6.7 yards per carry, bringing his season total to 552 yards, ranking 33rd among NAIA Overall Record: Georgetown leads 12-0 backs. Last Meeting: GC 35, UPIKE 10 - • Wide receiver Nu’Keese Richardson put UPIKE in the national spotlight last week after earning the Oct. 20, 2012 in Pikeville, Ky. NAIA Football Special Teams National Player of the Week award. Richardson returned a pair of punts for touchdowns to help the Bears hold off Bethel in the second half.
