The prestigious gala featured superstar artists like Dave Matthews, James Taylor, Elton John and Lady Antebellum among other notables paying tribute to the performer with inspired renditions of some of his most memorable songs. On May 31, 2011 Shout! Factory will release A MusiCares Tribute to Neil Young, a collection of these never-before-seen performances on DVD and Blu-ray. Neil Young was recognized for his influential artistic accomplishments as well Neil Young as his philanthropic work, which is as renowned as his musical legacy. He was one of the original founders of Farm Aid in 1985 and continues to be an active member on the organization's board of directors.
