The first 15 will be accepted. LANGUAGE: English NECESSARY ABILITIES OF EVERY PARTICIPANT: To speak at least basic English. To bike 40 km on mountain bike daily in a hilly terrain. To swim – important for rafting. EQUIPMENT: Sportswear, hiking shoes, raincoat. ACCOMMODATIONS: One week in Prague, Klatovy and Železná Ruda, Czech Republic, RC Klatovy One week in Cham, Bavaria - Germany, RC Cham COST TO PARTICIPANTS: Participation fee 230 EUR (can be paid upon arrival in Czech Republic and Germany). Return ticket to Czech Republic plus additional pocket money. Lodging and food provided to participants at no cost. Welcome party. Monday, July 27th, 2020 We will be sightseeing in Prague - Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, and Old Town Square. Night view of Prague Castle and Charles Bridge Tuesday, July 28th, 2020 We will continue sightseeing in Prague - Prague Castle, Charles Bridge. After lunch we will go by bus to the city Klatovy. After arrival to Klatovy, we will be sightseeing in Klatovy. City Klatovy - square At 7:00 p.m. we will have meeting and dinner together with members of Rotary club Klatovy. Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 After breakfast we will go by train to small town Železná Ruda. Železná Ruda is located in the Bohemian Forest about 40 km from Klatovy. We rent will bikes and start our bike trip. Thursday, July 30th, 2020 and Friday, July 31th, 2020 We will be biking through forest pathways and country roads, sightseeing and visiting historic monuments and beautiful nature of the region. Evening: campfire and farewell party to Czech Republic. Saturday, August 1th, 2020 From Železná Ruda we will walk to Devil’s Lake in the Bohemian Forest (the largest and deepest natural lake in the Czech Republic). Afternoon we will meet with Rotarian in Germany. Sunday, August 2th, 2018 We will go on a canoeing tour on river Regen. Monday, August 3th, 2018 In the morning, you will have time for relaxation or to explore the surrounding area of your mountain lodge and to climb a former military observation tower. After lunch, we will watch the landscape surrounding the city of Cham and the Bavarian and Bohemian mountains from the air in a glider (sailplane) or motor airplane at the local glider club in Cham. Tuesday, August 4th, 2018 On this day we will set out early in the morning at 8:00 a.m. towards lake “Chiemsee” in the southern part of Bavaria. We will visit the royal “Palace of Herrenchiemsee”. In the late afternoon, we will head towards Munich. Wednesday, August 5th, 2018 We will be sightseeing in Munich. Munich is the capital of Bavaria and one of Germany’s most popular destinations. It is famous for its sights, attractions, orchestras, museums, Oktoberfest, FC Bayern Munich, BMW, etc. Thursday, August 6th, 2018 In the morning, we will visit some of the most important touristic highlights of Munich. In the afternoon, you will have time to visit those attractions you are specifically interested in by your own or to visit one of the many famous museums. In the evening, we will get together again and have dinner in a traditional Munich restaurant. Friday, August 7th, 2018 After breakfast, we will leave Munich and will drive to the city of Regensburg which was founded by the Romans and belongs to the oldest cities in Germany.
