In July 2015, she became the first woman from Oklahoma ever to be crowned Miss USA, going on to earn second runner-up while representing the United States at the Miss Universe Pageant. With the philosophy to “Dream Big,” she is seeing it come true as she jets to Belize as one of only six models chosen for the 2018 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, having been chosen from an initial pool of more than 5,000 submissions. As a model, Olivia has become a coveted talent. Her editorial print work has been featured in Cosmopolitan, Shape, Maxim and Vogue Japan, and she has appeared in national advertising campaigns for Olay, Target and David’s Bridal. She has also graced the catwalks of both New York and Miami Fashion Weeks. Since moving to Los Angeles after college, Olivia has trained extensively as an actress and appeared in such TV shows and films as MURDER IN THE FIRST, and HOT TUB TIME MACHINE 2, as well as recently hosting the KCBS lifestyle series “THIS IS LA.” During her year as Miss USA, Olivia experienced a whirlwind of high-profile events and activities, but none more satisfying that those which let her serve as an advocate, for health issues and the empowerment of young women. She traveled to Haiti with Smile Train to assist children born with cleft palates, lobbied Congress on behalf of the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance, and hosted events that raised $6.5 million benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association, including lighting the Empire State Building purple for Alzheimer’s awareness and went to Washington, D.C. to lend her voice toward greater government funding. Olivia first became passionate about health issues affecting women as an active volunteer at the women’s resource center at Boston University, where she graduated from its College of Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in 2011. This inspired her to pioneer a self-defense workshop that would become a continued tradition within her sorority. Olivia carried this charge into her post-college life and, in 2014, the non-profit organization Children of the Night recognized her as an outstanding volunteer and advocate on behalf of sex-trafficked children in America.
