IEI The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] is a statutory body to promote and advance the engineering and technology, established in 1920 and incorporated by Royal Charter in 1935. WORKSHOP SUMMARY The workshop will focus on disseminating fundamentals of architectural aerodynamics, IS 875 (Part 3):2015, Climate engineering, latest in wind engineering to practitioners and academicians. Various topics with real-life examples will be presented in layman’s terms. At the end of the workshop, an open discussion will be carried out to alleviate doubts on any topics related to the title. Suresh Kumar 5.00 pm – 5.30 pm : Interactive session ABOUT SPEAKERS Suresh Kumar is a recognized leader in the field of wind engineering who serves as regional manager of RWDI’s operations in India. He is a notable thought leader in his field, with an extensive history of publishing, lectures, and research. Suresh is a member of several professional bodies including ASCE Environmental Wind Engineering Committee and BIS Tall Building Committee. Prior to joining RWDI, Suresh spent 10 years in academics as a researcher in the area of Wind Engineering. Suresh obtained Bachelor’s degree from the College of Engineering Trivandrum, Master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India, PhD degree from the Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, and Suresh did his post-doctorate at the Technical University of Eindhoven in the Netherlands. 5 K. Suresh Kumar, Ph.D., P.Eng., M.ASCE A key member of RWDI’s wind engineering team, Rahul has contributed insight and analysis to some of the our most notable projects around the world, including the ground breaking Hudson Yards development in New York City, and the Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, the world’s tallest temple.Rahul holds Master’s degree in Wind Engineering from University of Western Ontario, Canada. Rahul is a specialist in wind engineering and has been working at RWDI since 2008. Rahul is a member of professional bodies like ASCE, American Association for Wind Engineering, Australasian Wind Engineering Society (AWES), UK Wind Engineering Society and Institution of Civil Engineers (UK ICE). Rahul P S, MESc Anjali holds a degree in Civil Engineering from College of Engineering . Trivandrum. Anjali is a part of RWDI’s microclimate team based in UK and has four years of experience as a consulting engineer specialized in wind microclimate assessment and mitigation. Anjali Krishnan, B.
