U N IVER SITY OF MOINTTANA FROM INFORMATION SERVICES MISSOULA, MONTANA 59801 PHONE 243-2522 AREA CODE 400 RELEASE SUNDAY, APRIL 10 dwyer 4-7-66 "REQUIEM FOR A NUN" TO PLAY ON U CAMPUS "Requiem for a Nun," Ruth Ford’s stage adaptation of Nobel laureate William Faulkner’s novel, will play in the Masquer Theater at the University of Montana Wednesday through next Sunday at 8:15 p.m., according to Dr. Firman H. Brown, Jr., chairman of the UM Drama Department. In "Requiem for a Nun" the characters of Faulkner's earlier novel, "Sanctuary," reap an emotional harvest sown in youth. In the UM production, Georgia Tree, Billings, is cast as Temple, a central figure in both novels. Gowan Stevens is played by Jim Baker, Conrad; Gavin Stevens, by Bill Dobson, Great Falls; Nancy Mannigoe, by Barbara Trott, Billings; the Governor, by James Murphy, New York, N. Y.; Pete, by Joe Ferrell, Lewistown, and Mr. Tubbs, by A1 Terhune, a graduate assistant in drama. Harry Trickey, a graduate student, is director of the play. Glenn Gauer, Great Falls, is scene and technical designer, and Chris McGuire, Dutton, is costumer. The box office will be open today (Sunday) through Tuesday from noon to 5 p.m. and Wednesday through next Sunday from noon to curtain time. 30.
