PETTUS, SR. It is July the first which begins the second half of the year! God has been good to us in the first half and I look forward to even a better second half than the first. One of the signs of a church in movement is that people are joining on a regular basis. As I walk by the new 2215 John Street members board I see the results of the 1st and 2nd quarter (23 1st Fort Wayne, IN 46803 and 24 2nd), I am very excited. That’s with evangelism on the back burner! I am looking forward to putting evangelism on the front phone (260) 744-6235 burner in this second half of the year so that we will be true to what fax (260) 744-6460 the Lord has called us to be and do. One of the other things that shows www.greaterprogressive.org movement is the area of giving. I must say that the first four months of the year were positive every month. Great for us! But, as we looked at Church Hours: the May report and June’s preliminary numbers we are falling short of the goal. I would encourage everyone to be diligent in your efforts to stay committed to supporting your Monday-Friday church financially. I have not at any point this year had to ask for any special offerings nor 8:00am - 4:00pm asked for any kind of assessment other than revival. To our credit, it is because we have been on target. My prayer is that the overage that we gained in the first months of the year won’t Staff be depleted due to the lack of giving in the summer months. We all can insure that that won’t happen just by being faithful in our giving each and every week. I want to thank everyone in Anthony R. Pettus, Sr. faith and advance for your continued efforts. Senior Pastor On another note, I have been teaching on discipleship in Bible Study for a while now and in Leslie E. Alford light of our leadership meeting, I believe the next chapter in the life of God’s church @ GPBC is Church Administrator for those of us who are disciples and on fire for God to begin to search out for one or two Delania Oman people in whom we can disciple, so that eventually we will have a fully discipled, fully devoted Church Secretary church family that’s on the move for our God. You should look for someone in the congregation that does not attend Bible Study or Sunday school and begin to pour into them what God, Anthony “T.J.” Pettus, Jr. through your shepherd, has poured into you. I believe that a breakthrough is on the way for Minister of Music our church and when it comes it is going to be major! But before it arrives we have to make ready for all that God is going to bring our way. Not only should you find someone else to Ace Hawthorne disciple, but you should do self inventory and maintenance on yourself so that you can operate Custodian at a very high qualitative level.
