The 67-year-old keyboardist and singer hosted an intimate jam session at Gramercy Park Hotel’s Rose Bar Saturday night, where he brought his kids up on stage, and dedicated the rst song to his wife, Paula White, spiritual advisor to President Trump, who was seated in the crowd. "Standing up here as a member of the Hall of Fame feels pretty amazing,” he said, a day after he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at Barclays Center with fellow Journey bandmates. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/rockrollhallfameinducteesjourneyheartrockarticle1.3039387 1/3 4/10/2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees from Journey, Heart rock out NY Daily News Jonathan Cain of Journey performs hits at Gramercy Park Hotel’s Rose Bar. He continued performing mega-hits like “Who’s Crying Now,” “Love Will Find You” and “When You Love a Woman.” Before his last song of the night, the Chicago native sang “Happy Birthday” to his twins, Weston and Liza, who turned 21. Then he recalled an anecdote from his father, who encouraged him not to quit when he was rst trying to make it big in Hollywood — the inspiration behind Journey’s most iconic hit, “Don’t Stop Believing,” he wrote with singer Steve Perry and guitarist Neal Schon. “I said, 'Dad should I come home to Chicago? This thing ain’t working out. I’m getting my butt kicked in Hollywood.' I’m on the phone listening to him and he said ‘Son, I got one thing for you, don’t stop believing,’” he said. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/rockrollhallfameinducteesjourneyheartrockarticle1.3039387 2/3 4/10/2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees from Journey, Heart rock out NY Daily News Somar Macek is the lead vocalist of Heart By Heart — which features original Heart members Steven Fossen and Michael Derosier.
