This is the 20th straight season the two teams have squared off. The Bees won 2015 Schedules/Results the first meeting 22-20 back in 1996. The Trojans’ lone win was a 24-3 decision in 2003, snapping a seven-game losing streak to the Bees. Since that loss, SAU has St. Ambrose won 11 straight in the series. Sept. 5 at Concordia (Mich.) The last time an SAU football team * MSFA Midwest League game started 4-0 was in 2006 under head coach Todd Sturdy. That team started 10-0. Back in the Top 25: St. Ambrose is ranked No. 25 in the most recent NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, released Monday. It is the first time the Bees have been ranked since checking in at No. 25 during the Sept. 15 poll of last season. MSFA Midwest League: SAU enters MSFA Midwest League play today. Since 2007, Mike Magistrelli’s first year as head coach, the Bees are 37-15 in league play. Over that time, St. Ambrose is 16-9 at home and 21-6 on the road against MSFA opponents. Connor and Mosher going over 100: Brad Connor caught six passes for 141 yards and Isaiah Mosher caught nine balls for 102 yards last Saturday. They are the first two Bee teammates to each haul in more than 100 receiving yards since... Brad Connor and Isaiah Mosher. The pair also accomplished the feat last season, Oct. 25 vs. Grand View, when Connor caught five passes for 141 yards and Mosher added three receptions for 104 yards. Kicking battle: Today’s game features the most prolific field goal kickers in the NAIA. SAU’s Matt Cotiguala leads the NAIA with 2.7 field goals made per game while TIU’s Jeremiah Carter is second at 2.0 per game. Misc. Notes: Chris Klotz has caught a touchdown pass in all three games this season and has caught a TD in four straight dating back to the 2014 season finale. ... St. Ambrose has won the time of possession battle in each of the first three games this season. The Bees are averaging 33:41 of possession time this season. No SAU team has averaged more time of possession than their opponents since the 2006 team held the ball an average of 30:27 per game. ... Matt Cotiguala has kicked eight field goals through three games; the single-season school record is 12 by Matt Webster 2004 Milestones within reach: Joey Zito needs 98 rushing yards for 1,500 in his career...
