It got a little tangled in the shrouds while hoisting the main so I have now fastened a strap around all seven sections and attached the strap to the topmost batten end. This holds the preventer out of the way while hoisting and lowering the sail. I tried it out in 5 feet of water and it works like a champ but I can see why Frank designed the Ta- sar to turtle because it was all I could do to keep the boat from blowing away, and I was standing in the sand.
