Vol. CXIX—No. 121 NAIROBI, 22nd August, 2017 Price Sh. 60 GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 8239 THE CONSTITUTION OF KENYA THE INDEPENDENT ELECTORAL AND BOUNDARIES COMMISSION ACT (No. 9 of 2011) THE ELECTIONS ACT (No. 24 of 2011) THE ELECTIONS (GENERAL) REGULATIONS (L.N. 128 of 2012 and L.N.72 of 2017) DECLARATION OF PERSONS ELECTED TO PARLIAMENT AS MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by Articles 88(4), 93, 95, 97 (1) (a) and 101 (1) of the Constitution, section 4 of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Act, 2011, section 39 (1) and (1A) (i) of the Elections Act, 2011 and Regulations 83 (1) (a), (e), (f) (ii) and (g) of the Elections (General) Regulations, 2012, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission declares that the persons whose names are listed in the schedule hereunder were elected as Members of the National Assembly having received the majority of the votes cast in the election held 8th August, 2017 and complied with the provisions of the Elections Act, 2011 and the Constitution. And that— (a) The respective Codes to the Counties are listed in the First Column to the schedule. (b) Every County is listed in the Second Column to the Schedule. (c) Each Constituency is assigned a Constituency Code number in the Third Column to the Schedule. (d) The names of the Constituencies are specified in the Fourth Column to the Schedule. (e) The surname of the elected member of the respective Constituency is listed in the Fifth Column to the Schedule (f) The other names of the elected member of the respective Constituency is listed in the Sixth Column to the Schedule (g) Every elected member’s political party or independent symbol is assigned a Code indicated in the Seventh Column. (h) Every elected member’s political party or Independent symbol’s name is indicated in the Eighth Column. (i) The abbreviation of the elected member’s Party /Independent symbol Name is indicated in the Ninth Column. (j) The votes garnered by the elected persons are indicated in the Tenth Column.
